Melplash Show

The Melplash Agricultural Society Show is one of the South West’s premier agricultural exhibitions and is held at The West Bay Show grounds, Bridport.

Our show really offers something for everyone!  The showground is packed full of exhibits including livestock, horses, homecrafts and horticulture.  There are over 400 trade stands selling everything from locally produced food to tractors… and plenty in between!

A celebration of countryside, woodcraft, timber and, above all, conservation, Stock Gaylard’s Oak Fair enjoys widespread support and is a major draw for town and country folk alike.            Peruse a plethora of shopping opportunities with more than 200 exhibitors showing everything from hand crafted homewares to industrial machinery, bespoke wooden furniture to leathercraft workers.   Visit our Market Square for a wide range of delicious food, including hog roast, paella and crepes..       There are also lots of activities for children – sign up for tree climbing and the zip wire, learn Bushcraft skills, make scarecrows, take part in a charcoal drawing workshop or take a tractor ride through our beautiful deer park.   The Oak Fair prides itself in providing a platform for rural crafts and demonstrations including the ever-popular falconry, chainsaw carving, heavy horse logging, axe throwing, archery and the daredevil stunts of the Adams Axemen Display Team.
