Gold Hill Festival – Shaftesbury
Saturday 1st July – Proms in the Park
Starting mid afternoon, performances include the local Silver Band, Community Choir and local bands.
There will be a bar and various refreshment stalls.
Approximate timings – 4pm until 10pm.
Sunday 2nd – Picnic in the Park
An all day event with approx. 60 refreshment and craft stalls including entertainment for children. Plus steam engines, local bands, entertainment on the main stage, local art group and charity fundraising stalls.
11am until 4pm.

Chickerell Steam and Vintage Show – Moor Farm, Chickerell, Weymouth, Dorset, DT3 4EA
Two day show with steam engines, classic vehicles, food hall, craft, models trains and boats, childrens entertainment, trade, music, beer tent, arena events, food stalls and the Chickerell Challenge!

Shaftesbury Festival of Food and Drink
One of the largest one day food festivals in the South West of England.
Come and join us for a celebration of the best in local food and drink. Not to be missed, it’s a day jam packed with food, fun and frivolity.
There’ll be stalls the length of the town, featuring the fabulous Anonymous Travelling Market on Park Walk, as well as producers from The Dorset Farmers Market and Dorset Food and Drink in the High Street.
Most of the stallholders will be selling produce and products that they have produced themselves – you will be able to ask about the provenance of most items being sold.
And of course, the utterly bonkers Cheese Races up the iconic Gold Hill! Not for the faint hearted but oh so entertaining. Are you up for the challenge?
Swans Yard will be hosting Live Music as well as showcasing some of the best in local art and crafts and make sure to pop along to the Shaftesbury Abbey Gardens for dancing with our very own Steps in Time.
Most of the towns shops will be open, the majority of whom are independents.

Sherborne Castle Classic and Supercars
A host of attractions include over 2,100 private classic and supercars on display, motor club and trade stands, an autojumble, craft fair, catering village and a VIP Members area. This classic car show attracts visitors from around Dorest, Somerset and the wider West Country.

Swanage Regatta & Carnival.
The top Carnival on the South Coast. Norden Park & Ride will be open until midnight for the duration of Carnival week with additional trains scheduled for fireworks evenings.
